An open letter from Atty. Nick Conti, STCAA President:
The last time I saw Tita Lencia was on October 12, 2019 during the occasion of the 79th Homecoming of Sta. Teresa College hosted by the 1994 Silver Jubilarians and 1969 Golden Jubilarians.
We work together during the preparation of the 75th Grand Reunion. She was then our Alumni President and I served as the Homecoming President.
We had a good working relationship. My being the pamangkin of Tita Lencia's high school friend, Chit Conti was a contributing factor.
She never missed any meetings. She was always punctual. She was generous in sharing her ideas. She was energetic, kind and charismatic. A loving mentor and mother to us, indeed!
And she will always be on the same table as the active senior citizen alumni - which later on earned them the title - Distinguished Members of Table # 2.
She shared her life and infected us with the passion to care for others. Her love for Jesus is contagious. She is the embodiment of the Teresian's core values of concern, responsibility and service. “Always for Jesus”
Today, we celebrate the life of Tita Lencia as we bid her goodbye as well.
I didnt realize that last Oct 12 was our last moment together.
Tita Lencia, my mentor and inspiration as I discharge my function as the President of the STC alumni association, may you rest in peace and see you on our next reunion.
